Community Water Fluoridation

“Fluoridation plays a protective role against dental decay throughout our life, benefiting both children and adults. It is the most efficient way to prevent tooth decay and we won’t have that as an option if this hastily made decision to ban it is adopted without having fully explored the consequences.” Rodney Thornell, D.D.S., President Utah Dental Association.

The Utah Dental Association did not support HB81 and does not support the ban of fluoride in water supplies. We are asking Governor Cox to veto this legislation and give Utah more time to study the situation.
